Yahoo has recently changed all clubs over to their e-groups service. This means that Open Arms' Yahoo! club is now a Yahoo! group. You can still find us listed in the groups, but you will want to update your bookmarks to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/openarmsministry.

Although our Spiritual Warrior club was much older and had many more members than a brand new club that was just created, Yahoo has given them our name and has made our Spiritual Warrior club into the group, Spiritualwarriors2. This group is by invitation only and can be joined by signing up for the SW Discipleship Course.

This changeover has caused problems between Yahoo! and CheetaChat. Cheetachat is a chat client that can be used to access Yahoo!'s chat rooms. Our counselors prefer to use this (less ads, more text space, less booting, faster), but the change has caused us to have trouble getting into the group chat rooms with CheetaChat.

Because of these problems, we have moved our Thursday night Bible Trivia time into CheetaChat itself, bypassing Yahoo! completely. If you would like to join us at 9 pm eastern on Thursdays for this chat time, you must first download CheetaChat by clicking here. Then you must register here for a CheetaChat ID.

When you open the CheetaChat program, you make certain the Server Type CheetaChat button is marked, type in your ID and your password and you will be taken in. To change to our room, click on the room name in the lower right corner (or by clicking on Rooms in the upper menu and then Change Rooms). Our room will be called OAIM Bible Trivia.

We will also be having our Spiritual Warrior Tuesday Bible study in CheetaChat. Follow the directions above for the Thursday night room and then locate our room, OAIM Spiritual Warrior Bible Study. Our study is at 9 pm eastern time.

As of now, we have not changed the Monday and Friday night rooms. We are still in regular Yahoo! Chat, Religion and Beliefs section, in a user room called OAM Bible Counseling, from 9-11 pm eastern. Remember, our counselors also set up one-on-one chats during the week and on weekends.
